Wedding Dinner during World 1st F1 Nite Race 2008

29 Sep 08

We attended one of Andy nieces wedding on the Sunday night when F1 cars roaring loud at Temasek Boulevard for the 1st F1 night race. It was not just the 1st F1 night race… it was also our 1st time experiencing wedding dinner with “qi yue guei tai” live band.

Jovan & Louise enjoying the cereal prawns...

They invited a few renowned entertainers one of them is “Ming Zhu” sisters. A DJ from FM97.2 was invited too. He named is Chen Jian Bing. I have never seen him personally. This was my 1st encounter and I find him pretty ah beng. :P

They are the renowned "Ming Zhu" sisters.
He is one of Andy's nephew not one of the entertainers. Look at his hair do. I am keeping to photo and will show him 10yrs later. Hahahaha!!!

We reached home about 11.30pm. Everyone was tired, Andy drank too much again. I think most of the time he drink more than the host and got himself drunk. I think he is stupid. Yeap… stupid.

A Family Outing

20 Sep 2008

Andy requested not to have kiddos sent to him mum’s place on Friday night because he had been travelling and he missed quality time with them. So we planned to do something on Saturday morning… we don’t usually have much Saturday spent together.

We had tim sum at East Ocean in the morning. The food is still so good! Actually I was still recovering from stomach flu so I couldn’t take too much chilli. L so sad…. L We sure enjoyed our brunch though. HEEE~

After the enjoyable tim sum, the quarrelsome Andy requested to view cars again. :S 1st we went to the new BMW showroom in Leng Kee. It is his all time favourite showroom. For me??? I have been to BMW showroom so many times that I feel so sick looking at their cars. I watched cartoon when I was there. Daddy & Jovan enjoyed the most. *v*

Then we went to Audi, the sale girl was very professional and friendly. She told she just ordered an Audi TT. Wow! Must be good money ya. Then we went to Benz showroom. There were very few cars in their showroom. I suspect they are going to have new design soon. The cars were sold so much cheaper. There wasn’t any SLK & CLK model in the showroom. The sale person sucks. I wonder he knows what he is selling. So the stay in Benz was a quick one. Then we proceeded home. FINALLY!!!

Once we reached home, there was no time to waste. We quickly packed our barang barang and headed for Big Splash. It was a hot Saturday but when we were about to reach Big Splash, rain started to pour on the highway. SHIT! Strangely, when we reached Big Splash, it wasn’t raining there. (????) Thank god! But!!!!! Who knows Big Splash had already closed down. L kuah kuah kuah……

Andy wasn’t discouraged by it at all. He quickly drove us to Downtown East, they have a theme pool there. Well, and who knows when we were there, the pool was under renovation. :”((( kuah… kuah… kuah… kuah….boi yoh yoh yoh….

Well, we ended up in The Escape to take the rides. Louise surprised us by taking the “superman” ride.
Then she requested to go for roller coaster. Andy wanted to take Viking. However, Jovan wasn’t qualified to take the ride because he is too short. Louise accompanied Andy for the ride. The Viking started out slow, but when it reaches the full height, Louise started crying. She was so frightened! I was like, oh shit! I had forgotten that she is afraid of height. The falling part when taking the Viking freaked her. We felt so bad.

Next, I took the log ride alone. Andy was there comforting Louise and Jovan couldn’t play because he is too short again. :P HEE~ After the ride my shorts were wet through.

After these, we played the mini boat with water gun…the whole family got wet. HAHA! We had lots of fun. We also tried the race car like game. There was this auntie in front of driving so s_l_o_w…..she hogged everybody’s way by driving in the centre. It was not so much fun. Stupid auntie! Don’t dare to drive fast just keep one side loh! Anyway we went to bang her car although we are not supposed to. :p This is always a by right and by left rule. HEE~
We had few more rounds of the mini boat and superman ride. We played the horse racing, water gun & throwing the rings to bottles game and we proceeded for dinner. After dinner, it was home sweet home. J It was an enjoyable Saturday.

~~~ THE END ~~~
Buying Lanterns
Mid-Autumn should have not just mooncakes but with lanterns for children too. It is our yearly routine to go Chinatown to buy the lanterns and to have a look at their decoration in Chinatown. So this year without fail, we were there again. :))))
We were walking around Chinatown...soaking into the mid-autumn atmosphere....and the lanterns outside "fuo ya" temple caught our attention. They are all beautifully painting by children from different primary schools.
Louise & Lanterns...
Then we decided to go into "fuo ya" temple to have a look. The temple has got many, many, many statues of different buddha. They go by chinese horoscope and types of blessing... the smaller buddhas are built and craved all the way up the wall, almost to the ceiling. Very nice :)))
We spotted a mini and big lantern inside the temple and got the kiddos to take pictures.
Mini Lanterns
Big Lanterns
After walking around the temple... we went back for our lantern hunt in the pasar malam. Louise got herself bunny lantern (candle-lit) and Jovan got himself a spiderman lantern (battery operated) :PP... he said he is afraid of fire.... :PPPP
Mooncakes
Mid Autumn festival just pass on 14 Sep, a Sunday night. Well I should have updated this blog sometime back but I haven't have got a chance to do so.
Everything started exciting with ordering mooncakes from Raffles Hotel. I bought the famous Champange mooncakes from them. On top of that, I bought a double yolk baked skin mooncakes for my uncle at home. We are happy with our mooncakes collection. However, boxes of mooncakes slowly "flow" in.... 1st we got 1 box of durian mooncakes from my bro-in-law. My evil twin got me 1 box of snow skin crunchy chocolate pearl from Raffles Hotel... hee hee~ well... so far so good... then uncle brought home 1 box of mooncake from Ritz Carlton and he bought 3 boxes from "Da Zhong Guo"... I almost fainted... luckily...he meant to give 1 box to him boss and 1 box to my evil twin... heng ah.... also... i decided to "give away" the mooncakes from Ritz Carlton.
This year....2008.... I felt drowned by mooncakes.
Outing at Suntec
Just photos... Kiddos having kiddy rides. Its $6 for 10mins! So I paid $12 in total. Living standard is scarry nowadays. I really can't imagine how the poorer family is living...
