Spelling & Composition

So far only 2 persons had read my blog. One is my hubby & the other is my buddy. Both commented that I have many spelling mistakes and grammer errors. hahahaha!!!! That was because I didn't bother to check! hahahaha!!! :PP That's me you see.

Btw, I have 3 composition done by Louise to be posted today. :)))

P1 Registration - 30 Jul 2008

P1 Registration Part II

In the end, we didnt even get to put Louise's name for registration for Hougang Pri and was politely being rejected. We were at total lost dont even know what to do next because we didnt look for a back up. So hurrily we went hunting for another school. 1st we went to Montfort and princess doesnt like it. Then we went to Yio Chu Kang Pri and surprising she likes the school and so we just went ahead to register without thinking. Guess we were all still "shaken"??? :P

I actually kind of blame myself for my unwillingness to take up volunteer work. But what my colleague said makes sense. Why be free labour for the school?? The consol is her sons were both from a neighbourhood school like YCK pri but they excel in the studies and got good results.

Well everything has come to a FULL STOP.... after all the effort to scout for a school. We ended with something not of what we had planned earlier on. Its all fated... I am all for it YCK pri hee hee...


P.S. - Sometimes, instead of pointing finger and shafting blames, we should put heads together to think for better solutions.

P1 Registration - 30 Jul 2008

Today is the 2nd day of P1 registration for Phase 2C. Out of 122 vacancies, there were already 135 applicants for Hougang Pri School. At first when I was looking at the number of vacancies I was thinking... ok no sweat. There are hundred over places quite enough to go around. Who knows.... sigh...

Anyway just go ahead to register and wait for the balloting result since we dont have a 2nd choice.

Primary school registration is a yearly affair in Singapore. All parents who are registering for their kids will try to "aim" for a better school or the best school in town. Well, we being trademark as "kiasu" will find ways and means to get our kids to the best school. They will register themselves to do volunteer work. Its minimum 40hours every month. Can you imagine that?? On top of your work and household chores, the mummies still have to do extra work for the school. I was thinking, for those schools with plently supply of volunteers, they can do without the cleaners & admin staff, cos they got good supply for free labour! hahaha :PPP

As for myself, I didnt target at the good good schools eventhough I have a choice to register my girl to Nan Chiau Pri one of the most sort after school. Oh why?? Because I was a former student there. Well, its a good school but it didnt promise good student. I wasnt fantastic with my studies. And Hougang Pri is just one of the better school in neighbourhood area. So I guess there are many people who thinks like me! hee hee!

Ai yo!!! I am so worry now. I got butterflies in my tummy. :((( That's all for now. I will be back to update more...

Taking photo of myself

I always wonder how others took their "da tou tei" photos. Looks so nice, so I tried doing it myself. I realised that my face is too thin to do a close up shot. I looked malnutrition and old. So sad!!!!

I tried many many shots and finally settle with a few and will use one of it for this blog. Hee hee. Honestly I wonder I long will I least doing up my blog. I can be lazy most of the time. Hahaha. I will just keep trying.

Although the side view ones look the best but I guess for blog I prefer to settle with something decent.

Reason for Blog...

I have never thought of starting a blog till I saw a couple of my nieces keeping it. Well, one of them gave a good reason, she wants to share with her kids in future about herself. Well, I thought this will be a good way to lock in memories. Time flies and children grew up so fast. I still remember I was pushed to the labour ward...well well it was like yesterday. Hmm... another reason is I have a very busy husband you see. I think he missed out a lot of wonderful time I spent with the kiddos. He is so busy with his work and career, I know in 10 years down the road, when he looks back, he will realised that he missed out so much in life during the peak of his career. This will serve as a good album for his to flip back page by page...

Dinner again! Cod fish steak was served for dinner yesterday. I made cod fish of course, mushroom soup from Soup Spoon, corn cobs and muffins from TG Pagar. Yum yum! We had wonderful dinner and children always like to share with me what happened in school that day. And everything always ends with desert, we had apples again. Why apples most of the time??? Because Louise is fussy when comes to fruits. Basically, apples, papaya, watermelon, pear & banana won't go wrong.

Look at her, she loves reading so much so that she is reading and eating apple at the same time. Louise is 6 years old now.

I read her composition done in her phonetic class. She wrote about wanting to keep a pet rabbit. She likes her rabbit to be white with red eyes. She will feed the rabbit with vegetables & carrots and give the rabbit fresh water everyday. She is so sweet. Also, she would like to name her rabbit, Patch. So you see, that's how PatchBunny comes about...

Dinner!

I just got this new job which gives me more time for myself and family. Ever since I started my career with them, I resume to my cooking routine for my children. I will do 3x or 2x per week alternately. Why not everyday??? Because I need a break!! Com-mon! I think I am excellent already. ;)

After so long since I last cooked a decent dinner for my kiddos, I decided to start with beef patty steak. I bought them from GreenGrocer, they looks like yummy. However, I guess I had baked it for too long in the oven the meat was too tough. :((

Dinner should end with desert, so we are pampered with good servings of strawberries. But too bad Louise doesn't like it. Looked at her expression. hahahaha!!!

Jovan & I enjoyed the strawberries the most. We finished them all. Well, let me planned for a weekly menu and things to cook. Time is becoming more and more precious so planning ahead is an important task!

She is my buddy. We went for fish theraphy 2 months back.


What is fish theraphy??? Well, its dipping your lower legs into a pond filled with little fishes and let them nibble your legs & feet. Sounds ticklish? Ya... its a little..
But at the end of it, your legs will fell so clean.

I know her for 8 years. She went through rough patch of her life and that how we got closer. Now she is happier and 31 Aug will be her BIG day.
Congras!!!


Now we are majong khakis, we shop together and fall in love with same piece of clothes. And always remind ourselves not to wear those when we were out together. :PP

She loves my kids and showering them with little gifts. My kids are pampered. Her hubby-to-be adored my kids too. Well we looks like a happy family. ;) Just that I m not a bunny. kakaka!

First Timer

This is my virgin blog. I ran out of name to give to my blog and dun wish to use my fav name, Ammonite, all the time. Patch is my daughter's dream bunny. She would love to own and bunny and name her "Patch". So that's how my blog name came about.

I used to keep a dairy but I couldn't remember where I damped my dairy now. Hmm.. may be a good spring cleaning may helped.

I leave in the renowed little red dot called "Singapore". Born here, live here and well I do hope to move to somewhere for retirement but not migrate. I have 2 wonderful kids (a girl & a boy) and a very responsible hubby in winning breadS home. ;)

Friends I have many but I have only one buddy and she is also a bunny somehow. I am just surrounded by them I guess. hahaha! We know each other for 8 years and friendship blosom only after I had my girl. Now she is my evil twins and we do evil things together. Well she is getting married soon, so may be we will have lesser time after she has her kids too. :((
