Buddy Bunny getting WED!

My buddy is getting wed this Sunday, 31 Aug 08. I am truly happy for her. I bought them a pair of bracelet with their initial on it. I have tried hunting for a perfect gift but it was really tough. I almost wanted to give up hope and even thought of just buying for Julie only. Hee hee….
It’s easy to get something for a lady but for a man...hmm… I really faced great challenge. I can understand why Julie has problem getting Joey a gift now.

Ok, so finally I have settled the gift. I got Julie a rose quartz bracelet with initial “J” and Joey a leather bracelet with initial “J” too. Ok finally I am pleased, just prey and hope that they like it! And… they do!!! J Alright I am happy.

Then I also promised them that I will buy them toilet roll from “I wanna go home”. The toilet roll has got USD & Euro dollars printed on it. I bought 1 of each kind because they have got 2 toilets at home. I was telling them the feeling of cleaning your asses with money must be quite shiok! Wahahahaahaha!!!!

In preparation of their big day, I went for pedicure. Only wanting to do pedi at 1st, ended up doing hand paraffin and mani. Hee! Women are just so vain! Haha I dun care if NO ONE is gonna look at my toe nails and fingernails! Hahahaha!! I am feeling happy.

Myself & BB Shim-poh will be at Julie’s mum place early to be her sisters. Imagine 2 sisters married with kids and still qualified. Wahahahaha! Dun believe I can still get ang pao as a sister at this age wahahaha!! That is only part one. We will also need to help up in the restaurant. And the interesting part is my 2 kiddos will be borrowed by the wedding couple to jump on their bed. I think my kiddos are finding it weird, but I think they will still do it. HEEE!!!!

My gifts are given in instalment format. I have of course given them the bracelet, now I am left with the ang pao, a small little gift and a card. I think the card is very very nice. Heee… Hope she will like it too. J

Last…hope they faster lay some eggs loh! ;)

Finally its Fernvale Primary school! Alright now everything is confirmed and set. Orientation will be on 01 Nov, how exciting! :)

Preparing Teacher's Day Cards 2008

It’s Teacher’s Day again on coming Monday, 1 Sep 08. Louise & Jovan will be saying farewell to their teachers in NTUC Childcare in Dec. I decided we should get a little gift for all the teachers in the centre. So I bought 8 funky massagers for the teachers and the kiddos to make their own cards.

Looking at the cards you can easily tell which are done by Jovan and which are done by Louise. Jovan as a boy got “no heart” in doing the cards. He opt for the easy way out to stamp on the cards and paste stickers. Hee hee. He can’t draw nice pictures too. Louise once asked why he is still drawing stick people when he is already 5. ;P Louise’s cards are nicer but of course I can’t discourage Jovan he is still a kid. I can just smile and said it’s very nice, covering my conscience. :P

We started making the cards at 8pm and only completed everything at about 10pm. I was dead tired… I still have dirty dishes in the sink. I have not bathed. Sob sob… Dirty sink and smelly Jeslyn. L I do hope the teachers will find it useful. I like it personally and have 1 at home. J

Louise drew a card with apple tree and wood pecker. The other with cut out of a tiny bear pasted on it and she drew a honey pot inside the card. The other which I think it looks like a volcano. Jovan drew a tree on one of the cards but apparently only Louise can really understand what he is drawing. Hee hee…. He tried drawing an animal but I dunno is it a rabbit or a dog. Hahahaha Kids are so cute!

There is this particular massager which Louise & Jovan both thinks that they want to give it to teacher Sam. I asked them why. They said because teacher Sam is very funny. Hmm... looking at the thing, I think it suggest that the kids find her a joker. HEEE~

Hubby

Look. I have been talking about my kids, my buddy & even myself... but I have not mentioned a thing about my man. hee hee so mushy hor.. Anyway its very ah lian to say it that way and I remembered xiao lian also said that... my man my man... wo de nan ren... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! CANT STAND IT!!! Ok my hubby. Just not me lah.

I know him during out poly days. Hmm..... back in 1993. Wow that long. We know each other in poly 2nd year. I didnt notice much about him expect finding him very ah beng. :P hahahahaha!!!! Like I said I am straight forward. kekeke... I don't why started to have feelings for him doing a BBQ outing, he actually invited for one of his clasmates. Well things always turned out differently, cos I fell for him not his classmate. So guys, pls have some balls ok.

Then we took a one year break after about 2-3 months of courtship part 1. Then one day, he came knocking on my door which was about 1 year later. Its all fated I guess. We were in courtship part 2 for about 5 yrs before we ROM. Then, Louise was born in 2002 followed by Jovan in 2003.

Why him??? Because I think he is one of the few people I thought I could trust. He has mature thinking but yet funny (full of craps at night only). He is a "yue guang bao he", bad mood in the day and happy in the night. And I think he can be faithful and responsible.

Btw, do you know what were the reasons he given me when he wanted to break up when we were in our courtship part 1. You wont believe it. He said, I am too blunt and he don't like it. I made him waited twice for about 30mins. Also mentioned that I got strict curfew and got to go home by 1030pm and hehas got no where to go after that. So very much like my fault right. Well I think its childish & crappy but what to do...

P1 Registration - 07 Aug 08

P1 Registration Part III

I dunno if most parents went through as much trouble for P1 registration as us. First we scout for a school, we went to my old school & Hougang Pri and finally decided on Hougang Pri. On the registration day, we were turned down by Hougang Pri. I felt like a door slammed right on my face. :"(

We didnt have a back up choice. Under constrained on time and frustration we made a rush decision and quickly settled with YCK Pri. One weekend, out of the blue I told Andy about a Pri school behind our house. He drove passed to take a look and surprisely he likes the school. So we thought Fernvale Pri may be a better choice for us.

On 12 Aug, which is next Tues, we will register with Fernvale instead... I really wonder does most parents went through so much hassle like us??? ;P

Life @ work

It is almost my 3rd month in my new job. Work started out to be free & easy just like a holiday. :))) Slowly and steadily more and more work has added... but nothing beats the big blue so far. hee hee...

Well emails was cut down more than half but paper filing doubled and tripled!! :(( sob sob~~ but... hee hee I am able to go home on the dot. I am a regularly 6pm Cinderella. Got to rush back on the dot else my train will turn to a caterpilla. ke ke ke ke... Jia you woh!

Now I am looking forward to my pro-rated 13th month in Dec and VB in May / June. Wooo~~~ Cool! Best if my buddy bunny can be my colleague once again. Or work near to me once again. Then we could lunch together, gossip and do evil things. Heeee...........

Last Friday, 01 Aug was an eventful night for me. Or should I say for my buddy & Joey.

01 Aug 2008, Friday, it was also the 1st day of 7th month on lunar calendar. What so special about this month??? Well, we Chinese believed that it’s the 1st night the gate of hell is opened after 1 lunar calendar year.

Andy & I were supposed to go to the new nest of Joey & Julie after dinner. Julie was so excited to use her new mahjong set, make coffee for us with her Nespresso machine and little she knows something weird is gonna happened to us. BTW, playing mahjong at her own place is her dream ok. So don’t think this is a small thing! OK!

We reached her place in Simei at about 10.30pm. After muchwayang, we started the game at

11pm. It was about our 7th or 8th rounds, Joey managed to “gong shi tong”. Not long after he “gong” the “shi tong” I drew the 5th

“shi tong” from the cards!!!!!! OMG!

1st thing the came to my mind…Oh NO!!!! Its 7th month, ghost disturbing us??? :”((( Well, that’s silly isn’t it??? Then I open up my card to show them, the 5th “shi tong”. All I could see was shock from Julie’s face, bewildered from Joey’s face and Andy seemed pretty amused.

I guess Joey & Julie wasn’t thinking about 7th month. They must be thinking about the great effort they had made to carry the mahjong set all the way from HKG to Singapore. WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Then the $$$ spent to crave the 4 animals on the mahjong titles. I have photos to show you how distraught they were. I thought I will only get to see 5 “shi tong” in movies made by Stephen Chow, Asia renowned comedian. It comes live at Simei block xxx #xx-xxx. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Anyway we managed to find which card is missing. The mahjong set has 5 “shi tong” and 3 “er tong”, so guess what was done to the extra “shi tong”. It was being disfigured by Joey & me! Hee Hee! We have photos as evidence too. Kakakakaka!

I guess everything went wrong right from the start. Joey bought the wrong Kettle’s chip for Julie & me. We love honey & mustard flavour but he bought unsalted flavour. Anyway, Julie made nice coffee for me & Andy from her Nespresso coffee machine. Well, although she dunno how to make Americano for me. What a pity. I think the coffee machine is a consolation prize for her. Let not rub it in further because she lost 100 bucks to me that night. WAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
